If you've visited Egypt within the last 20 years, there is a very good chance that you've come across Tourist Guidebooks by Alberto Siliotti.

He seems to have one for practically every major location that one would want to visit within the country.
So when he told us that he was planning a large, full book on Siwa Oasis, and asked if we would want to write the chapter on the 'Prehistory of Siwa', we quickly said yes!
Our chapter opens the book and is entitled "Siwa and the Prehistoric Egyptian Sahara".
